COVID-19 has led to a rapid increase in the need of mental health/suicide prevention programs. The Pandemic has also caused a loss in funding that support many education programs that extend beyond the classroom. As Miss North Palm Beach USA, an educator, and suicide prevention advocate, I am dedicating my platform to raise money for the National Alliance of Mental Illness Palm Beach County (NAMI PBC) and Boynton Beach High School Medical Program, to combat some of those losses. 

NAMI PBC is an organization dedicated to providing support, education and advocacy with the goal to empower persons with mental illness and their families. The BBCHS Medical program is a choice program that guides students to lead futures in the medical field. I came up with #iChooseMe to serve as a reminder to students that they should choose themselves everyday whether it reflect in their education or simply in their day-to-day actions. I want them to know that their power is endless, but the decision to use it starts in the classroom.
